Massage

To help the healing process we offer therapeutic massage by our masseur Janet. Janet also provides bespoke aromatherapy.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is an ancient skill using the essential oils from flowers and leaves, wood, the fruit and seeds and roots of plants. These essential oils have for centuries been used for embalming, perfumery and massage.

Aromatherapy literally combines the “aroma” or perfume of an oil or combination of oils with the potent substances contained within the oils. With skill, these volatile essences can be harnessed in massage to alleviate and help certain conditions, to refresh and recharge, to relax and to restore and promote a sense of balance and of wellbeing.

At Alive we are committed to a holistic approach and each aromatherapy treatment includes a personalised selection of oils.

All treatments are carried out on the hydrotherm warm waterbed system.

Spinal Health

Once the subluxation has been adjusted moving the spine will stimulate the nerve pathways and help speed up healing. For this reason we often recommend specific exercises.

We also use massage benches which massage around the spine and legs with heated jade rollers. During the 30 minute session you listen to relaxing music on headphones (use our CDs or bring your own favourites!). If Dr Bennett considers that this is appropriate for you he will recommend spinal health sessions on these benches.

If you’ve been to a chiropractor before and prefer to be adjusted in a particular way, let Dr. Peter Bennett know. We want you to relax, enjoy and fully benefit from your chiropractic care.
